We operate two refuges dedicated to women and children escaping domestic violence:
- Bringa Women and Children’s Refuge on the Northern Beaches
- Delvena Women and Children’s Refuge in the Lower North Shore
Both Bringa and Delvena Women and Children’s Refuges provide crisis accommodation to women and children escaping domestic violence for up to three months while providing case management to address the complex needs of mothers and their children. We also have transitional housing to assist women and children once they are out of a crisis situation.
We assist women and their children to find ongoing safe, affordable housing so they may live their lives independently now and into the future.
In 2015 Bringa Women and Children’s Refuge was converted from the boarding house model of communal living into modern self-contained studio apartments.
The delightful conversion to Bringa Women and Children’s Refuge now provides women and children in crisis with their own self-contained studio apartment with their own bathroom and kitchen facilities.
This model of crisis accommodation is consistent with a trauma-informed approach to service delivery.
The building project was carried out in partnership with the former Warringah Council who contracted Momentum Built. Project management and design were executed by Constructive Dialogue Architects.
If you are currently experiencing domestic violence and need a safe place to be, please call us on 9971 4499.
