Playing with Emotions

Looking for fun activities these holidays?

Tag along with your kids to share a journey of mindfulness and play activities these school holidays.

Attending one of these days will give you the space to explore your emotions through play with your children.

Free morning tea will be provided as well as take home activities to keep your kids entertained.

Family Time Group

Weds 7th October 2020

Time: 10am-12pm

Looking for fun activities these holidays?

Come and bring your kids along to our ‘Family Time’ group as together you will have fun and enjoy some free morning tea these school holidays.

Each activity offers a load of fun and learning for you and the kids.
You will receive useful resources for yourself and goodie bags for the kids!

Free morning tea will be provided as well as take home activities to keep your kids entertained.

Women’s Circle Self-Care group

Monday October 19, Face to Face and via ZOOM

This group is about coming together, connecting, having intentional time for relaxation in which we enhance our self-care and care for our families. We gather to share stories, deepen our identities, both individually and in a group. It is a time to come together to nourish each other, to listen and to elevate each other as women.
The program will run for five weeks and we offer two different formats:


1. Face to face program with free childcare, which must be booked in advance, commencing Monday 19th October from 10am to 12 noon.
2. ZOOM evening program starting Monday 19th from 6.30pm to 8pm. You will need a laptop or smart phone to join evening program.
Cost: Free

 




TUNING INTO KIDS – via ZOOM

A course for parents of children 4 to 13 years old. This course provides strategies to help build emotional intelligence in children, so they’re able to talk about and manage strong emotions. Research shows that children who are emotion coached are better able to problem solve, do well at school and have strong family and peer relationships.
The program runs for six weeks commencing Monday 19th October from 10am to 11.30am via ZOOM.
You will need a laptop or smart phone to join the program

CIRCLE OF SECURITY – Face to Face session

The ‘Circle of Security’ parenting program is an early intervention, relationship-based parenting program designed to enhance attachment between parents/caregivers and children.
Aimed at parents of babies and pre-schoolers. (“Mums to be” are also welcome).
The free program runs for seven weeks, on site, commencing Tuesday 20th October from 10am to 12 noon.
Limited spots for free childcare are available but must be booked in advance.
Cost: Free (*Will be available on ZOOM if required, due to COVID-19 restrictions.)


COOL TOOLS FOR PARENTS – ZOOM

‘Cool Tools’ is a practical skills workshop that teaches parents/carers ways to keep a ‘cool head’ when parenting. It provides psycho-education about why we sometimes find it difficult to control our emotions and offers strategies for parents to use immediately. When we can parent more calmly, our children and calmer and we benefit from improved family dynamics.
This workshop will run as a ZOOM session on Tuesday 10th November from 10am to 12 noon.
You will need a laptop or smart phone to join the workshop.

COOL TOOLS


COOL TOOLS FOR PARENTS – Face to Face

‘Cool Tools’ is a practical skills workshop that teaches parents/carers ways to keep a ‘cool head’ when parenting. It provides psycho-education about why we sometimes find it difficult to control our emotions and offers strategies for parents to use immediately. This workshop will provide tips to improve family dynamics at home.
This workshop is on site, commencing Monday 30th November from 10am to 12 noon.
Limited, free childcare spots are available but must be booked in advance.
Cost: Free


 

Supported Play Group

Every Weds through the school term

A weekly playgroup for parents and children under school age emphasising the importance of play in a child’s development.

This play group operates during school term time at 10am – 11am ( due to CODID)
